Swap a person, and Rebuild with actors

Parts within a cut, never across one (about 9 seconds for Swap a person, up to about 7–8 seconds tested for Rebuild with actors). Swap a person: confirmed with the person greyed in the reference (6–7 s parts recast fully; without greying, only ~3 s did). Rebuild with actors: parts up to about 7–8 seconds tested; length didn’t matter (0.8–7.5 s), the shot type did.

  • Split one long shot into balanced parts that overlap by one frame. Drop the duplicate when you join, and cut where a pause or a turn makes a small change look natural. Separate shots share no frame.
  • In our tests the design held across parts when the pictures were strong. What jumped at the joins was the pose.

Add new footage, and Rebuild a shot

One run if it fits. On a 16 GB card with 32 GB of RAM:

How many frames fit in one run at each size
SizeFits
1024 × 576124 frames (about 5 seconds)
768 × 576345 frames (about 14 seconds), one run, about 13 minutes
768 × 448 (16:9)362 frames (about 15 seconds), one run, about 16 minutes; it uses nearly all of 32 GB of RAM
  • When it still doesn’t fit: split it into 124-frame pieces at full size, and give each later piece the previous piece’s last rendered frame as its first frame or Pictures (the frame export workflow saves it: seamless-frame-export.json, download), or the set jumps where they meet.

The platform’s limits

Four different lengths, easy to mix up:

  1. The model: at least 124 frames per generation; the extra is trimmed.
  2. Your shot: its real frame count, never stretched.
  3. The clip: 5–120 s to submit to the catalog. Extension 0.64.3 and later play local edits from 1.5 s. Edits from the builder need clips of 5 s or more; 1.5 s clips play only as local packs made outside the builder.
  4. The player’s own lead-in: needs nothing from you.
