Check your clip
Check every clip before you attach it. Without masks nothing is pixel-exact, so the faces get a check of their own.

Version 1 (2026-10-15): the same steps as this page, with every download’s link and checksum. sha256 d6803546fc0b7c3286c6430bf5ec80e81690f1c211e96bd0372f3ad568359dda, also in the manifest.
Numbers (ffprobe)
- Frames: exactly the frame count of your stretch, (Resume − Start) × the episode’s rate. Count only your shot’s frames, not the padded tail.
- Size: the Start still’s.
- Sound: within 0.1 s of the picture; the platform rejects more.
- File: an H.264 + AAC MP4 of 5–120 seconds to submit (from 1.5 s for a local pack made outside the builder, with extension 0.64.3 or later), at an even size between 320 × 180 and 4096 × 2160.
Faces, by eye
- Look at every face in the result. The automatic check compares with your source, and can pass a recast face that moves the same way.
- Step through the result next to the source. Every person is still themselves: the same face, hair and clothes; nobody added, missing or turned into a look-alike.
- Small figures far away are the ones that disappear.
- Recast: the new person looks the same in every shot.
Flicker
The flicker check workflow (seamless-flicker-check.json, download) paints red wherever the result flickers against your original, frame to frame:
- load your original in Source and your result in Final (the same length and size), and play Check by eye: red = flicker;
- red blobs on scenery or on people are a problem; a thin red line along a moving new element is normal. For a fast creature, the red outlines and flecks round it are its motion. Judge the red on scenery and people only;
- judge it by eye: how many frames show some red doesn’t matter;
- it needs most of 32 GB of RAM for a long shot. Run it on one shot at a time.
Sound and speed
- Watch at normal speed, with sound. The voice matches the mouth (or the light, for a non-human speaker); there’s no click or gap at a join.
- Then on the episode: Preview clip… in Creator tools to play it in place. Judge the joins at normal speed.
Checks aren’t playback: a clip that passes every check can still join badly. Watch the joins with Watch with edit.
